Katriga project is designed for the Croatian Holiday 2012 traveling exhibition. The main purpose of the exhibition was to stimulate debate on the importance of connecting design and tourism in Croatia. That was used as motivation to complete reinterpretation of the traditional low stools - a tripod with a backrest - typical examples of "vernacular" design in Dalmatia, Croatia, at the end of the 19th century. The expressive, functional and minimalistic construction of the chair has been determined by the lack of materials and tools available at that time. In the context of serial production, wooden tripods are unified. Backrests are made of metal tubes and are available in a number of iterations of colors and shapes, thus serving different purposes.
